Apple has released official advice for iPhone 4 owners to overcome the problem of the device losing signal when held by the lower left corner.

Steve Jobs responded to a query about the problem from one owner by saying: “Just avoid holding it in that way.”

The official advice is to “avoid gripping it in the lower left corner in a way that covers both sides of the black strip in the metal band”.

Alternatively, said Apple, customers could buy a case to shield the antenna.

The iPhone 4 went on sale on 24 June, with hundreds of people queuing outside Apple’s flagship store in central London for the launch.

German Forced England back to their countries

Germany successfully continue their dominance over England in World Cup finals after forcing the Three Lions came home early after picking winning 4-1 in the Big 16 round match of World Cup 2010 in the Free State Stadium, Bloemfontein.

In this game, both German and English are not too meaningful change. Germany coach Joachim Loew back down Miroslav Klose who previously absent, due to red cards in the allowance for the Group D against the Serbs.

Meanwhile, England coach Fabio Capello’s squad for the reduction in permanent trust when defeating Slovenia.

New games running four minutes, goalkeeper David James had to work hard to get opportunities that confront Mesut Ozil. After beat Ashley Cole, the young German players are releasing volley on goal but the veteran goalkeeper could be intercepted.

German dependence on Klose started to appear when the striker was brought first German winner at minute 21. After winning a duel against John Terry, Klose put the ball into the goalkeeper James.

New Tricks Series 4

The unresolved crimes featured in ‘New Tricks’ are far from trivial, but the series itself boasts some interesting trivia. Did you know…

They may have handed in their badges and collected their pensions years ago, but Lane, Standing and Halford are back for a fourth series, still working at the London Metropolitan Police as civilians investigating unsolved crimes as part of boss Pullman’s team, Unsolved Crime and Open Case Squad (UCOS). Led by Pullman, who spends half her time trying to reign them in, the three men investigate an array of challenging and disturbing crimes.

You’d have to be very brave to tell this motley crew they are too old to chase criminals. Whatever they lack in agility, they more than make up for in their years of experience. Out of touch with modern policing, Jack, Brian and Gerry thrive on bending and even breaking the rules to get a result; something which certainly annoys Pullman. The question is: will Pullman stop them or join them in doing just about anything to get to the truth?
